Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced  Senior Business Analyst  to join a dynamic, fast-growing organization in a hugely successful fund administration company. The successful applicant will play a key role in designing and delivering the target operating model for a Global Payments line of business. This role reports to and supports the Operations Head of Global Payment Services. They will work closely with Global Operations, Product and IT functional teams, as well as Support Teams to enable the business to transition from the current state operating model to the target operating model that underpins the strategic business roadmap.

Responsibilities of the role include: 

• Analyse the current state operating model to identify areas for process improvement across existing ways of working
• Collaborate with operations, product and IT owners to design transitional and target operating model(s) to drive and deliver, at a minimum:
  • Workflows and processes
  • Hand-in/hand-offs between teams
  • Procedures for the manual/interim processes
  • Headcount modelling/resource planning
  • Operating hours and location strategy
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Business Continuity Planning
• Engage directly with senior business stakeholders to drive business analysis outcomes, including facilitation of workshops and project governance sessions
• Validate that solutions are fit for purpose to ensure that they deliver value and meet stakeholder needs and help stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve the proposed future state
• Provide guidance to the Operations Team, if required, to define user acceptance test scenarios, and conduct testing to ensure processes are working as expected
• Be an active participant in the end-to-end delivery of payments-related projects, working alongside the Payments Programme Manager to:
  • Elicit, analyse, and document requirements and process flows using industry-led techniques
  • Create a central repository and document storage structure to store all artefacts
  • Raise risks, issues and dependencies where required
  • Provide regular status updates 
• Provide guidance to the Operations teams to enable and ensure the function is operationally ready prior to go-live
• Gather business sign offs to confirm target model solutions are ready and working as expected, including fielding responses in the event of any post go-live process-related queries

Qualifications

• Ideally over 8 years of Business Analysis experience, with 2 or more years applying best practice Business and Process Analysis techniques in the Payments industry (Or an equivalent combination of education and work experience)
• Proven track record in delivering cross functional target operating models
• Strong analytical, presentation, process mapping and requirements-gathering skills
• Ability to present complex information in a logical and structured way
• Experience of delivering in a Project and Programme execution structure - payments programme experience is an advantage
• Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodology
• Agile certification an advantage
• Lean six sigma qualification is an advantage
