Job Description - Speech and Language Therapists

We are urgently seeking a Speech and Language Therapist   for a private hospital in Westmeath  Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying speech, language, communication, and swallowing abnormalities by conducting assessments.
  • Employing evidence-based therapeutic practices to provide clients with one-on-one and group therapy sessions.
  • Working together to provide unified and comprehensive care with families, carers, and other medical experts.
  • Establish clinical leadership in the day-to-day management of the service by assisting and monitoring employees, assigning and prioritizing tasks, and encouraging a pleasant work environment.
  • Oversee, take part in, and contribute significantly to the practice education of student therapists. As needed, encourage and take part in the instruction, training, assistance, and supervision of others.
  • Enhance the function of the Senior SLP and the service, for example, by doing research, planning, audits, creating standards, and providing ongoing education and quality improvement programmes.
  • Make sure that best practices are followed and that efficient procedures are followed.
  • Take part in the ordering and management of medical supplies.

Requirements

  • A Masters or Bachelor of Science in Speech and Language Pathology.
  • Licensed to practice speech and language therapy in Ireland under CORU.
  • Dysphagia certification at the IASLT-approved level.
  • Three years of full-time clinical experience dealing with adults following qualification.
  • Clinical expertise in the evaluation and management of persons with acquired swallowing and communication disorders.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
