CATERING OFFICER GRADE 2

Excel Recruitment are looking for a Catering Officer Grade 2 to work in a Healthcare unit in Dublin South
This position will be working through Excel Recruitment with the potential of obtaining the full time position
Salary for Catering Officer Grade 2 is €44-53k depending on experience and point on the HSE pay scale

The desired candidate for this job as Catering Officer will possess a qualification in

• Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Hotel Management, or Hospitality and Restaurant Management, or Professional Chef Qualification
• HACCP Management Training

The experience required for this job as Catering Officer will be

• Two to three years in a supervisory capacity in a catering department
• Experience of managing a HACCP system
• Experience in the provision of in-house training to staff

The ideal candidates will have the following skills

• Strong leadership skills
• Hands on approach / Lead by doing
• Initiative and ability to manage complex situations
• Ability to communicate with all disciplines of staff
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Good influencing skills
• Computer skills

Candidates will have knowledge of

• Food Safety Management System
• Management of food Hygiene (HACCP)
• Health & Safety obligations
• Be able to identify potential difficulties and formulate solutions.
• Possess a good knowledge of quality improvement initiatives.

Experience working in a Healthcare unit is beneficial but not essential
