Job Description

We are currently inviting applications for a Night Porter position to join the Front Office team at Sheen Falls Lodge.

Scope & General Purpose Of Job

To care for the guests and property of Sheen Falls Lodge throughout the night.

Reporting to:  Head Porter and Duty Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Service of food and beverage items as requested
• Oversee Reception office – answering phones and queries
• Cleaning front of house areas; regularly checking that the premises are safe and secure
• Managing any difficult incidents that may occur with the assistance of the Duty Manager, when necessary.
• Be responsible for and aware of fire safety, the evacuation system, and safe handling of fire, in case of emergency while on duty.
• Use initiative whilst carrying out duties so that we provide the best possible
• Responsible for the security of the hotel at all times, both in terms of access to the hotel and hotel property while on duty.

Minumun 2+ years experience in a similar position.  

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role in a busy 4*/5* star Hotel environment.
• Previous experience in hospitality.
• Must possess excellent guest service skills.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have a full driver’s license.
• Must have fluent English both oral and written and full legal status to work in Ireland.
