Job Description - Sales & Marketing Executive

Sales & Marketing Executive (Maternity Cover, 18 month Fixed-Term Contract)

 

Oriel House Hotel, part of the Talbot Collection are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales & Marketing Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all Sales & Marketing Activities for Oriel House Hotel, subject to the broader Group Sales and Marketing Activities. This is an 18-month fixed-term contract of employment for the duration of maternity leave.

 

The candidate will have the support of the Group Commercial Manager and will report to the General Manager and the Group Commercial Manager.

 

The role itself:

 

Strategy

  • Develop an advertising and promotional plan which is effective in terms of cost and market penetration
  • Plan and implement sales strategies
  • Profile and drive new clients and prospects
  • Achieve a high profile for yourself and the brand in the marketplace by regular client callouts, meetings and entertainment
  • To liaise closely with the General Manager and the Group Commercial Manager on all sales activities

 

Sales and Business Development

  • Increase overall sales through penetration of the corporate marketplace and booking agents
  • Responsibility for achieving sales turnover on annual budget figures
  • Work closely with the operating departments and with the other properties in The Collection to maximise service opportunities and thereby increase revenues
  • Manage the completion of all RFPs / FIT/Tour Series contracts solicitations ensuring they are completed accurately and in line with budgeted guidelines with the Revenue Department
  • Monitor all brochure stock for Sales Department and keep a record of same
  • Develop and expand the food and beverage business of the hotel with particular emphasis on bar / restaurant sales and conference & banqueting
  • Develop an amicable and personable business relationship with clients, agencies and the internal team
  • Attend networking, sales, corporate and award events

 

Marketing Execution & Effectiveness

  • Achieve/ development of marketing strategies across all market segments.
  • Content organisation for marketing collateral across all market segment in line with brand visibility and awareness.
  • Devise Marketing Material for Corporate Sales Activity
  • To manage and sustain all internet/GDS activity competently.
  • To monitor the market and complete a competitor's analysis frequently incorporating this into target setting the following year.

 

Digital Marketing

  • Manage and update all content of websites on regular basis for all market segments/ departments and offerings. Ensuring all information is up to date.
  • Achieve/ develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns including email marketing and social media marketing.
  • Analysis of digital marketing performance data.
  • Ensure an effective and positive online presence

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role;
  • Hotel experience is desirable but not essential;
  • Have own transport;
  • Be highly motivated and driven to achieve targets;
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and achieve results
