Job Description - Cloud Native Deployment Engineer

Description

With a thorough understanding of cloud architecture (including GCP, AWS or Azure), this individual can deploy, test, and manage robust, secure, scalable, highly available Cloud Native solutions to drive business objectives.
Working in an Agile Cloud Native Deployment Team, the candidate should have DevOps capabilities & mindset and experience in supporting end to end testing of all Cloud Native Deployment Use Cases.

You should have the competencies & experience including the below:

Requirements

  • Degree qualified (BSc or MSc) with 5+ years’ working experience Deploying, Testing or Operating in the Cloud.
  • Industry experience in Public, Private or Hybrid GCP, AWS & Azure.
  • Experience with Infrastructure builds in Public clouds like EKS/GCP and Private clouds OpenStack and Red Hat.
  • One or more scripting languages e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, Go, YAML.
  • Experience with Linux operation systems and desktop management (configure, troubleshooting and deployment).
  • Proficient with source code management tools and methodologies (preferred: GitLab or GitHub).
  • Experience in Containerized technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Orchestration.
  • Experience building & configuring Docker images on SUSE Linux including build/push/use images from arm docker on Helm charts.
  • Experience with using Helm & YAML to bundle deployment artifacts on CSAR packages for customer delivery.
  • Experience with Kubernetes for testing & supporting deployment use cases to define install/upgrade/backup/rollback strategy and configure for high availability.
  • Spinnaker/Jenkins know how is needed to integrate the deliverables to existing CI/CD pipelines or to build new pipelines as needed.
  • Experience with Prometheus, BRO/Postgres/Neo4j good to have.
