Job Description - Healthcare Technology Manager

Healthcare Technology Manager - South Dublin

We are seeking a motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic individual to join our client team as a Healthcare Technology Manager. In this role, you will become part of a dynamic and collaborative team of experienced professionals, providing technical support to renal dialysis equipment and IT systems. Your primary responsibilities will include business development for new sites, as well as maintaining existing customer sites and fostering the development of a high-performing team with a strong work ethic.

Reporting to: Head of Ambulatory Care

Location: Nationwide

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility and accountability for leading, managing, developing, and enhancing the performance of the Technical Services department.
  • Lead and drive the commercial success of our portfolio to achieve profitable business expansion.
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders in the Technical Services arena within the Irish Health System.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating effective leadership skills and ensuring strategic and operational alignment with Group objectives.
  • Foster a culture of high performance and strong work ethic within the team.
  • Exhibit excellent cross-functional working skills and achieve ambitious results through effective delegation and collaboration.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and trends, providing regular market information.
  • Develop the potential and performance of Technical Services to contribute to healthcare in Ireland and achieve organizational sales objectives.
  • Drive improvements in policies and procedures, and report monthly KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the team on activities benefiting both the team and the customer.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Self-driven and goal-oriented, with the ability to handle objections effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in digital platforms, face-to-face communication, and presenting to senior levels.
  • Strong selling, influencing, and persuasive skills.
  • Experience in selling Dialysis systems and technology.
  • Effective planning and problem-solving skills, with adaptability and creativity in an ever-changing environment.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and motivated.
  • Ability to build strong relationships quickly and easily.
  • Independent and confident, with the capability to work autonomously to meet deadlines and targets.

Requirements:

  • Qualified in electronic/electrical/mechanical/biomedical engineering or similar technical discipline (Essential).
  • Minimum of 3 years in a management role leading a team (Essential).
  • At least 5 years of previous experience in renal technical service (maintenance & repair) and I.T. hardware; experience in Water Treatment Plant service is desirable.
  • Comfortable working in a clinical setting and interacting with allied health professionals (e.g., nurses, doctors, biomed engineers).
  • Familiarity with relevant E.U. Directives for medical devices (e.g., MDR, EN 60601, ISO quality standards).
  • Full Irish driving license.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly throughout Ireland and further as required.
