Description

Medical Scientist, (Basic Grade)

The Medical Scientist (Basic Grade) will report to the Chief Medical Scientist or designated person and will participate as a Medical Scientist, (Basic Grade) in providing a high quality and efficient laboratory service to Consultants, Doctors and their patients within the hospital and the community. .

University Hospital Kerry is the second largest of the Health Service Executive – South/South west Area’s seven acute hospitals. The hospital provides acute general hospital services to the population of Co. Kerry (139,616) and additionally, to a proportion of the populations of West Limerick and North Cork.

Services Include:

• General Medicine including Medicine of the Elderly & Endocrinology

• Paediatric including Special Baby Care Unit
