Our renowned Insurance and Financial Services client seeks a Software Development Engineer to build the foundation for their Data Warehouse Testing. This permanent role in Dublin offers a competitive salary (€75-80k) and a comprehensive benefits package (health insurance, bonus, pension).

Here's what you'll conquer:

• Design and develop test plans to ensure smooth data warehouse operations and reporting.
• Craft an automated testing strategy using Python for efficient data, functionality, and ETL/BI solution testing.
• Lead the charge in testing data warehouse solutions.
• Collaborate with the QA team to define robust testing processes for data warehouse features.
• Build a comprehensive data warehouse regression suite leveraging automation.
• Ensure data integrity and accurate test reports.
• Gain a deep understanding of the data warehouse flow and BI systems.
• Coordinate testing with User Acceptance Testers for a seamless testing process.
• Implement best-in-class, scalable solutions.
• Work closely with Data & Analytics engineers to understand SSIS packages and data transformations.
• Embrace Agile principles as part of a Scrum team.
• Champion best practices within the testing team.
• Stay ahead of the curve by researching new testing tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with the Data Architect to create test strategies for evolving data technologies.

To join our data hero squad, you'll need:

• A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a similar field (Data-related post-grad a plus!)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data warehouse testing.
• Expertise as a technical data warehouse tester.
• Experience with Python-based test automation frameworks.
• Proven experience in testing code quality, metrics production, and implementing quality gates.
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL Server (complex queries), BI tools (Power BI, SSRS), DAX library, Snowflake (or similar platforms).
• Self-starter mindset with a thirst for learning new tools and concepts quickly.
• Agile testing proficiency to maximize automation ROI.
• Excellent communication skills to influence the team on software quality best practices.
• A knack for identifying testing inefficiencies and implementing improvements.
