Job Description - Stores/Procurement Assistant

We are currently hiring for a Stores Assistant to join our Procurement team at Carton House.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day to day transfer of goods from the loading bay to designated areas.
  • Assist with stock takes and ordering of food when required.
  • Check all deliveries against order sheets and delivery dockets to ensure correct items and quantity received.
  • Keep storage areas and loading bay in a clean, neat and tidy condition.
  • Label products and organize storage areas as necessary.
  • Supervise suppliers when on site and during any work carried out.
  • Maintain an efficient system handling, coding and tracking of products through the procurement system.
  • Perform physical inventory monthly and submit reports to management.
  • Ensure invoices are processed and sent to finance department.

Key Requirements :

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Full clean drivers licence is essential.
  • Experience operating forklift desirable.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • A real understanding of hotel operations.
  • Confident in communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally.
