Ballymote Family Resource Centre CLG is recruiting for a Family Resource Centre Manager.
Program development, implementation, and management:
- Develop and implement programs and services tailored to meet the diverse needs of families and community we serve.
- Collaborate with staff and community stakeholders to design initiatives addressing key issues such as parenting support, therapeutic services, education, and community engagement.
- Monitor program effectiveness and adjust as necessary to ensure alignment with the centre’s objectives.
Team Leadership and supervision
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of staff, CE, TUS, and volunteers on an on-going basis, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and professional development among team members.
- Maintain all staff and volunteer records.
- Identify training need and organise training for staff and volunteers.
- Ensure that timesheets and other relevant personnel records are kept updated.
Community Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, government agencies, schools, PHN, and other stakeholders to enhance the centre's reach and impact.
- Represents the centre at community events, meetings, and conferences to raise awareness and advocate for the needs of families.
Resource Management
- Manage the centre’s budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient allocation of resources to support programmatic goals.
- Identify funding opportunities and prepare grant proposals or fundraising initiatives to sustain and expand the centre’s operations.
Evaluation, Reporting and Records
- Collect and analyse data to evaluate the outcomes and impact of programs, using feedback to inform continuous improvement efforts.
- Prepare reports for funders, stakeholders, and the board of directors, documenting achievements, challenges, and future plans.
- Become familiar with all procedures required by Tusla and other funders.
- Maintain and update all required records.
- Ensure the completion of all reporting ad monitoring procedures.
Supports and Services
- Ensure that the work of the Centre is located within a community-based model of family support.
- Promote the centrality of community development in informing the approach that underpins the work of the Centre.
- Contribute to Tusla’s area-based approach to prevention, partnership, and family support.
- Participate as required in national practice models, including Meitheal, to ensure that the needs and strengths of children and their families are effectively identified, understood, and responded to in a timely way.
- Liaise with the appropriate statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure a co-ordinated, multi-disciplinary and multi-agency framework for the delivery of supports and services locally.
- Facilitate the provision of an information and advice service to local families and individuals, including coordinating community events.
- Support the development of community led initiatives that support family and individual well-being.
- Complete and monitor Ballymote FRC Strategic plan.
Project Coordination
- Raise the profile of the Centre and promote local involvement in it.
- Coordinate the work of the Centre in consultation with the Voluntary Board of Management, working groups, staff members and others as deemed necessary.
- Support the Voluntary Board of Management to manage the Centre effectively and work with them to implement appropriate policies and procedures to ensure best practice and accountability.
- To comply with TUSLA Framework & Charities Governance Code
- Ensure that the work of the Centre is regularly planned, reviewed, and evaluated.
- Present monthly work / progress reports to the Voluntary Board of Management and others as deemed necessary.
- Oversee the financial management of the Centre with the Voluntary Board of Management
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Centre.
- Work with the Voluntary Board of Management, staff, and volunteers to access appropriate training and development opportunities in response to the identified needs of all members of the Centre.
- Ensure that a child protection policy, with associated procedures, is implemented and act as the Designated Liaison Person for the Centre
- Carry out any additional tasks that may be deemed necessary by the Voluntary Board of Management for the effective co-ordination of the Centre.
Salary: The salary will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
