Head of Finance - not for profit

My client operates in the not for profit sector and are looking to hire a head of Finance the salary for this role is between 70 - 85k, it offers hybrid working and is based in Kildare

Duties:

Financial Compliance and Accountability: Support the CEO and Board of Management to ensure financial compliance and accountability throughout the organization.

Leadership Role: Undertake a leadership role as a member of the Senior Management Team.

Financial Policy: Establish and monitor financial policies in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Financial Control: Ensure proper management of finance within the organization, compliant with regulatory requirements.

Change Management: Drive change initiatives to maximize efficiency and achieve business objectives.

Financial Reporting: Prepare year-end accounts and other financial reports as required.

Relationship Management: Collaborate with external auditors, advisors, and stakeholders on financial matters.

Resource Management: Manage financial resources to maximize income and efficiency.

Management of Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day finance functions, including salaries, accounts payable, and management information systems.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor budgetary performance and report on variances against budget.

Insurance: Ensure adequate insurance cover is in place for the organization.

Negotiation: Negotiate with external stakeholders on funding levels and service arrangements.

Other Duties: Undertake any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the CEO or Board.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Fully qualified registered accountant.

Minimum 3 years' experience in a leadership role, preferably 5 years post-qualification.

Demonstrated experience in financial management, negotiation, and change management.

Ability to lead, direct, and delegate work effectively.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficiency in relevant IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Good character and commitment to continuing professional development.

Experience in the Not-for-Profit/Charity Sector is desirable.

Understanding of the organization's Vision, Values, and Mission.
