RTB’s responsibility is to manage all processes associated with the Operation and Maintenance of the Ringsend Toll Bridge. This includes Toll Collection, Traffic Management, Road Safety Management, Emergency and Contingency Planning, Equipment and Infrastructure Inspection and Maintenance.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for the operation of the Ringsend Toll Bridge DAC including tolling and maintenance operations.
- Management of all aspects of operational staff within Ringsend Toll Bridge
- Reporting to the senior management team and providing advice and recommendations in relation to contractual obligations, safety requirements and all operational issues.
- Managing reporting and communication requirements with the Client and relevant stakeholders.
- Responsible for ensuring that the planning and execution of all operational works and activities are carried out in line with the contract and in accordance with the Integrated Management System which include Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Information Security and Asset Management Objectives.
- Management of incident reports following any significant incident or accident.
- Reporting of KPI’s, statistics and other information to relevant managers and stakeholders.
- Act as an Information Security Officer ensuring compliance with Data Protection act and compliance with ISO 27001 Information Security management.
- Management of all policies and procedures ensuring compliance with legislation and the provisions of the operating contract.
- Managing the departments financial performance through cost controls, subcontractor management, monthly reviews, budgetary control and managing expenditure.
- Responsible for compliance with the Human Resources Management Code, internal rules, all local regulations, and Health & Safety rules that apply in the company.
Qualifications, Skills, & Experience (Desired)
- A level eight qualification, recognised by the National Framework of Qualifications - Quality and Qualifications Ireland, or other equivalent qualification.
- At least 10+ Years’ operations and/or engineering experience.
- Toll Road operations management experience would be beneficial.
- Experience with responsibility for development and management of operational staff is essential.
- High standard of computer, writing, analytical and numeric skills.
- Ability to prioritise, delegate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic operational environment.

- Technical skills : Recognised experience in operations, safety rules and procedures, preparation of emergency management plans, equipment maintenance, routine maintenance management systems and asset management.
- People Management: Proven track record in motivating and leading teams, especially in a 24-hour shift environment.
- Client skills: Communication with experts (including project teams, system experts and infrastructure operators) and local authorities (fire brigade, city and county councils and police.)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Capability to identify and manage risk.
