Data Governor

Playrix is one of the most successful mobile game development companies. In terms of revenue, we rank among the top 3 in the world and first in EMEA. Our games have been installed 2.3 billion times (that's a third of the world's population!), and over 30 million people play them every day.

With the goal of reaching a billion people, we are actively working with data and machine learning (ML) algorithms to find new players and retain existing ones. Our department has 3 large product teams responsible for working with product and marketing analytics data. Our work serves as the basis for decisions made at the marketing level: from general MMP tracking to detailed integrations with specific partners; and in the operation of games: from activity tracking to ML personalization algorithms. Our product is used by C-level executives, producers, analysts, and game designers.
We're ready to take our data management to the next level and are looking for a Data Governor to help us move from disparate tools (DQ, Data Catalog, Medallion Domain Architecture) to a unified Data Governance methodology. The Data Governor will determine the culture of working with data among developers and analysts at various levels. Our stack:
Python is our main language, and data access is in SQL Datalake is built on Delta, Parquet and Hive (in the process of implementing Unity) For our DWH we use Redshift We work in the AWS cloud infrastructure We use solutions from mainstream vendors: Databricks, MonteCarlo, DBT We use a serverless approach when working with resources, as well as horizontal scaling and predictive models We pay close attention to both code and architecture refactoring

This role requires relocation from Russia and Belarus to one of our offices or remote work from other countries (except Russia and Belarus). Find out more here .

Tasks

• Participate in the design of DWH, DataLake & DeltaLake
  
• Build a culture of data governance
  
• Participate in business analysis and design data based on that analysis
  
• Develop and maintain a continuous data delivery pipeline
  
• Develop a data platform for product and marketing analytics
  
• Set up the Data Quality process for key data domains
  
• Ensure the Data Catalog is kept up to date and set up the metadata enrichment process
  
• Create a feature store for ML models

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in data-related fields such as data management or data engineering
• Experience in building data quality management processes (Data Quality)
• Knowledge of data warehouse design methodologies and popular data representation models
• Excellent knowledge of Python and SQL
  
• Experience with Spark (batch processing, PySpark) and Databricks
  
• Experience in any cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
