Role: HR Advisor specialising in Family Leave

Location: Central Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18 (Hybrid)

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our HR Direct Team in the role of HR Advisor. The successful person will be a specialist Advisor in all Family Leave cases (maternity, adoptive, surrogacy, paternity, parents leave) for AIB Group.

This role is essential in supporting our employees during critical life events by providing them with necessary resources and information regarding family leave.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide advice and support, both remotely and face to face, to all AIB colleagues interested in knowing more about, or utilising, any of our leave or services relating to family leave.
  • Be confidential, empathetic, and professional in all your dealings with our colleagues at this potentially key life event, explaining the processes, policies, and options in a clear manner and guiding them through the application process.
  • Ensure the transition into and back from leave are as smooth as possible, ensuring that both employee and People Leader are aware of their obligations.
  • Liaise with the HR Policy Team on changes in legislation and ensure that changes are incorporated into family leave policies and processes.
  • Identify ways to promote and improve the service. Including taking part in HR presentations with key stakeholders.
  • Integrate yourself into the wider HR team, particularly during busy periods, ensuring you are fully supporting HR Direct as business needs dictate.

What you will bring:

  • You are a highly empathetic individual, who has exceptional communication and organisational skills.
  • Be comfortable dealing with people, sometimes in emotive situations.
  • Have a good understanding of family leave legal obligations in this area OR a clear desire to develop these.
  • A natural inclination to challenge established ways of thinking to create clear, effective and efficient processes.
