Ergo are currently seeking a Test Manager for our client based in Galway. The Test Manager will report to a Senior Project Manager. TheTest managerwill be joining the existing team, which is made up of the Programme Manager and two internal Project Manager team members.
This role will be for an initial six months with potential to extend to two to four years. Your mission is to assist commercial testing and enforcement teams' success in achieving business outcomes and deliver on the Testing and Enforcement Business Plans. This will be a hybrid role with two days onsite and three days remote.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Resource planning and developing release work plans and schedules for validation and execution of test cases in line with overall agreed program of work.
- Reviewing and inputting as required into overall project timelines, project and cost estimation, budget development and cost control for the applications / projects in scope from a testing perspective.
- Inputting into project approval and sign off for all test activity and documentation.
- Third party vendor / contractor management in relation to aspects of software testing and validation.
- Reviewing and sign off third-party test documentation.
- Management of testing risks and issues.
- Reviewing and developing system enhancement requirements and system changes.
- Day to day management of defects raised from initial logging right through to defect resolution in production.
- Chairing test review meetings as appropriate and delivery test status reports to key stakeholders.
- Management of all testing documentation on the clients SharePoint site.
- Co-ordination of release plans and communications to system users.
- Supervising and providing independent software quality assurance in relation to client deliverables and providing best practice guidance to the client regarding software testing.
- Input into benefits management stream and overall monitoring of the benefits delivery.
- Managing internal testing resources, which may be allocated from time to time as required.
- Managing third party and contract test resources assigned to projects and BAU.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required: - Seven years of relevant Test Management experience required.
- Relevant PM qualifications
- A strong command of both written and oral English is required.
- Full Driving License required.
- Flexible with occasional travel that may be required (own car required) and standard Civil Service T &S rates will apply.
