Logistics Coordinator

My client, a specialist in providing innovative and sustainable soloutions are seeking to hire a Logistics Coordinator to join their team based in Cork City.

The primary function of this role is to bring this company's logistics function together and drive opperational efficieny moving forward. The role will involve working closely with internal stakeholders such as production, warehousing and quality so ideally will have previous experience of doing this and be a strong communicator. The successful candidate should have experience in importing raw materials from across the globe and be able grow a new logistics function.

This role will suit a candidate who has an interest in improving business processes, operations and delivery.

This is a permanent role and is full time on site Monday to Friday and the company are looking to asap.

Note: Salary for this role is dependant on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• In charge of overseeing the scheduling of goods both inwards and outwards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of picking lists within the ERP system, and ensuring timely completion of bulks.
• Facilitating clear communication between the Warehouse and Production departments to maintain transparency and efficiency.
• Responsible for managing warehouse stock levels and storage, collaborating closely with the Production Manager to ensure adequate supply.
• Collaborating with the Front Desk to ensure seamless coordination of transportation activities from origin to delivery, managing transportation movements and arranging necessary services.
• Tracking and coordinating the movement of goods through logistical pathways while upholding quality standards throughout the process.
• Proactively identifying and implementing strategies to minimize inefficiencies and enhance operational efficiency, capacity, and workflows.
• Willing to take the lead on ERP enhancements and other relevant projects.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum qualification at Degree level , desirable.
• Knowledge of logistics systems,
• Strong IT Skills, with working knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint
