EHS Officer

Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a EH&S Officer for our client, based in the Waterford Area.

Reporting to the site EHSS Director.

This is a Permanent Role.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Active implementation of the EHSS Management system for Waterford facility operations.

• Collaborating with the existing EHSS team to ensure ongoing compliance with the EHS program.

• Executing a systematic approach to risk assessments, ensuring appropriate mitigation of risk by working with senior operations managers and the EHSS team to keep the EHSS programs effective and up-to-date.

• Overseeing internal systems to support incident case management, risk assessments, EHS inspections, and internal and external auditing.

• Ensuring corrective actions and preventative actions are managed through to completion.

• Direct involvement and day-to-day management of EPA-related activities.

What are we looking for?

• Third-level qualification in Safety, Health, and Welfare (desirable).

• Qualifications in Energy Management and Environmental Management.

• Essential experience in a large-scale manufacturing facility.
