Dawn Meats are looking to recruit an Electrical Project Engineer for the management of Capital projects, working closely with a cross functional team of Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Quality departments to implement the required changes to enhance, stabilise and improve processes. Projects are both executed in-house and by external contractors.

The successful candidate will be based at our Head Offices in Grannagh, Co. Waterford and will:

• Develop scope and system performance targets for tendering to external contractors;
• Review tender submissions and design proposals from external contractors;
• Monitor project expenses in line with the approved project budget;
• Design small scale process changes and implement same;
• Provide technical support to the site production, maintenance and utility teams;
• Ensure smooth transfer of project knowledge from engineering to production, including ramp up plans for new process, transfers or product introductions;
• Ensure all activities, equipment and facilities comply with GMP, Health, Safety and environmental policies.

The ideal candidate will have or demonstrate:

• A 3rd level qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering;
• 5+ years experience in project management within a large scale manufacturing environment, preferably in the Dairy, Food, Beverage or Healthcare industries;
• Successful track record of project delivery;
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills;
• Excellent communication – verbal & written;
• CAD & MS Project.
