Part Qualified Accountant

Opportunity for a Part -Qualified Accountant to join a highly successful Irish manufacturing business in Longford.

This is a permanent position offering hybrid working after training period.

Accountant Responsibilities:

• Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of management accounts.
• Manage, control, and report on monthly cost centers, providing commentary on variances.
• Conduct weekly analysis on labor costs, efficiencies, energy consumption, and engineering expenditures.
• Analyze conversion gains/losses against standard product costs and operational metrics to discern key drivers.
• Establish standard costings in accordance with company policy.
• Audit stock management processes to maintain a high level of accuracy in both quantity and value.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational effectiveness.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of policies, procedures, and systems.
• Act as a representative for Finance on project teams.

Requirements:

• Possession of or progress towards a professional accounting qualification.
• 2-3 years of demonstrated relevant experience ideally in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient understanding of cost allocation, product costing, and reporting.
• Experience with fully integrated ERP systems, preferably SAP.
