Job Description - Financial Advisor

Aviva have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Advisor to join us in our Galway office on a 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract . Aviva Life Direct is one the fastest growing divisions in the Aviva Group and is of immense strategic importance in Aviva Ireland.

You, as part of the team, will be responsible for achievement of challenging performance targets, developing customer relationships with new and existing customers and ensuring the best possible customer outcomes.

Ideally QFA Qualification however, minimum APA Qualification required.

The successful candidates will provide professional advice, solutions and advise on Aviva products to meet the financial needs of customers and members of staff (using Aviva financial advice process with adherence to Aviva compliance standards).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To provide professional advice and solutions on Aviva products; to meet the financial needs of customers and members of staff (using Aviva financial advice process with adherence to Aviva compliance standards).
  • You will proactively manage existing customer base, establish and develop relationships with our clients ensuring they are receiving the benefit of the Aviva advice process through our contact strategy.
  • Speak with prospective clients, answer questions & determine if you can help them.
  • You will ensure that all advise given is compliant and in line with company policies, regulatory, professional and legal requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Aviva policies as well as all regulatory, professional and legal requirements.
  • Provide professional best advice in developing clear financial plans for new and existing customers, while delivering superior customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to appropriate risk management procedures to control, monitor and report on business activities where required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Ideally QFA Qualification however minimum APA Qualification required.
  • Competent in all Microsoft office packages including Word and Excel.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive & confidential situations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a busy team.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to ensure excellent client service and expedient business processing
  • Keep up to date with all changes in the commercial environment.
  • Completes Continual Professional Development (CPD) on an ongoing basis.
