IT QA Analyst

About the Role

DP World have an exciting opportunity for a IT QA Analyst, to join our team in Dublin. The successful candidate will facilitate updates and improvements implemented for our operational needs of our customers processing environment.

How you will contribute

• Team player willing to work as a key member of the team alongside our solutions analysts, developers, and operational leads.
• Attends group meeting and provides updates / feedback on testing progress to management, project management teams and a wider audience.
• Using your current system knowledge to determine how to test upcoming changes and always striving to develop that system knowledge further.
• Ability to participate in creating a test plan for a project ensuring testing is carried out to the best standard, leading to high quality implementation of new system functions that are suitable for operations and problem free.
• Ownership of test plans ensuring complete testing is carried out on all projects, managing that plan, and providing updates to a wider audience on testing progression through to completion of the project.
• Ability to track defects and working on a close basis with our development and solutions teams resolving issues found in the test cycle ensuring your projects are bug free at the time of deployment.
• Act as a point of contact for operations providing walk through documentation for changes going into their system and fielding any queries that arise from the deployment to be able to take them back to the wider IT team and provide additional feedback to operations.

What you will bring

• Experience working within a logistics environment, or a strong desire to move into this industry will be key. 
• An exceptional listener who can communicate clearly. You write exceptionally well and speak eloquently. You can explain just about anything to anyone. You’re comfortable on the phone, Teams calls or to groups of people – at any level. 
• You have an inquisitive nature wanting to know why and how our system works as well as how it interacts with customer systems. You have knowledge of modern test methodologies and in concepts of databases and enjoy solving problems. Getting to the root cause. You love taking on difficult challenges and finding creative, innovative solutions. You don’t get flustered easily. If you don’t know the answer, you’ll dig until you find it.
• You have exceptional analytical skills and ability to pay attention to detail as it is one of your core qualities. As far as you’re concerned, anything worth doing is worth doing right, every single time. You stay focused and nothing falls through the cracks on your watch. 
• You can identify gaps in logic and underlying causes of issues; You think on your feet. You like learning new things, and you can learn quickly. 
• You can work independently because you self-manage, with limited direction and guidance, but you also enjoy collaborating across dynamic and multi-cultural teams and are personable, helpful, and incredibly organised.
• Proactive in handling competing priorities and meet your deadlines and commitments; you always demonstrate a “can do” positive attitude with a strong understanding of the project life cycle, deliverables, defect tracking and management.
• Additional languages are a bonus, in particular Dutch.
