Junior Research Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Savills Research is seeking a team player with strong analytical and report writing skills. Broad responsibilities will include the provision of commercial real estate market analysis to include data management, macroeconomic analysis, and assisting in the production of research presentations and reports. Key interaction points to include the research team, existing and prospective clients, and brokerage teams across the various sectors of the business.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in commercial real estate
• Data collection and robust interrogation of public and in-house data sources
• Development and management of our proprietary databases
• Analyse Ireland's macroeconomic dynamics and how these affect the property market
• Develop a good understanding of economic and financial markets and how they relate to investment and occupational real estate trends in Ireland
• Support our transactional teams through the provision of market information, economic overviews and presentations
• Formulate interesting insights and communicate these in a persuasive manner
• Develop skills in presenting to domestic and international clients
• Collaborate with other members of the global research team
• Assist in the building of forecasting models
• Actively seek to expand network

Desired Experience

Open to graduates and those in the early stages of their career, especially as an economist or financial analyst

Educational Requirements

Educated to at least degree level in economics, finance, real estate or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications will be looked upon favourably.

 Key Technical Competencies

• Strong working knowledge of standard business software applications - spreadsheets, word processing and presentation packages, as well as familiarity with statistical and data visualisation packages (e.g., Stata, Tableau)
• An interest in developing expertise in the commercial real estate market
• Ability to distil a clear signal from complex data, develop this into actionable insights, and communicate these simply and effectively to a wide variety of audiences
• Econometrics skills will be looked upon favourably
