Join our team as Key Account Manager!

We are currently seeking a Key Account Manager to join us in Cork, Shannon, or Dublin. As a Key Account Manager, you are accountable for overseeing and cultivating designated Key Accounts, managing intricate internal and external connections essential for success. A critical aspect of this position involves fostering the expansion of assigned Key Accounts, identifying and capitalizing on new market opportunities, and leveraging key relationships throughout the customer organizations to drive internal business initiatives within DB Schenker.

Location: Cork or Shannon or Dublin

Hours: 09.00 - 17.30

What you will be doing

• Demonstrate strong business acumen and strategic thinking to maximize opportunities within key accounts.
• Exhibit keen analytical and critical thinking skills, identifying potential for growth and continuous improvements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for overall supply chain functions, providing high-trust advisory services across all levels of the customer's organization.
• Develop and maintain business relationships with key stakeholders, including board and director levels.
• Manage business retentions, account development, and growth through account penetration and relationship management.
• Ensure operational and commercial SLAs are met, leading business reviews and contract negotiations.
• Lead and manage procurement activities, such as RFQs, and oversee contract reviews and sign-offs.
• Create and maintain implementation documents, including SOPs and work instructions.

• Possess strong business acumen, critical thinking, and adept problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate a strategic approach and visionary thinking to establish the account's future strategic direction.
• Exhibit robust leadership skills, including the ability to influence outcomes and effectively manage people.
• Display exceptional relationship management and articulate communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Deliver excellent presentations using tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint or similar software.
• Effectively lead and facilitate business meetings, both internally and externally.
