The role is responsible for coordinating all key elements of our Light Gauge Steel process to ensure a smooth operation end to end.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Estimation
- Log all inquiries as soon as they come in
- Collation of requirements and specifications from tender documentation
- Carrying out accurate take-offs using Plan Swift
- Producing quotations, specifications and contracts
- Liaising with commercial and self-build clients to revise contracts and specifications
- Keep up to date on material prices and price increases
Production
- Update and control the manufacturing schedule on Microsoft Project
- Liaise with Production Manager and Design Team to ensure all changes to schedule is communicated
- Ensure the allocation of erectors happens in a timely manner
Project work
- Working through various different assigned projects (Communicated on a quarterly basis)
- Research to Improve our systems and product offering
Admin
- Assist in the issue of BCAR and other certification
- Assist with our contracts department with new and current contracts
- Ensure that all contracts are logged appropriately in our records
- Ensure all filing of accurate paperwork in sequence
- Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with public and stakeholders.
- Other ad hoc duties that the Company may require from time to time
- Experience working in a similar role previously is desirable
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence
- Driven for results and continuous focus on improvement
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- The ability to act decisively and solve employee or equipment-related problems
- Microsoft office literacy to ensure effective performance reporting
- Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
- The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, managers and other key stakeholders
- Strong negotiation skills for getting materials within budget at the right time
- The ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet deadlines
