Job Description - People Business Partner

The Opportunity

Phorest powers 10,000 hair and beauty salons using our software across the globe. Our aim is to capture 25% of the market globally – that’s one million salons and a billion-dollar company.

We are growing fast and would like to add a new member to our team. You will join a group of highly motivated individuals, to help us grow Phorest faster. 

What you will do

  • Establishing a deep understanding of our overall business and strategy
  • Driving organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent initiatives to identify and execute against current and future talent needs.
  • Partnering with leaders and their teams to develop talent strategies needed to support our business.
  • Engage as a consultant and coach to managers and their teams while translating business needs into People plans and initiatives.
  • Driving efforts to build upon our culture, values, and overall employee experience.
  • Being proactive with people managers and leaders on themes and opportunities to ensure we are building high-performing organizations.
  • Becoming a “business first, HR second” People professional - using HR skills, programs and initiatives to engage with the business.
  • Driving, delivering and coaching on all People programs such as performance assessments, promotions, succession planning, and employee engagement plans.
  • Leading with data and metrics to guide decision-making.
  • Partnering with Talent acquisition to ensure talent sourcing, recruitment and employer branding.
  • Building lasting relationships with leaders while operating as a trusted advisor
  • Working across multiple time zones with leaders to address any people related issues.
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives to enhance engagement, morale, and retention, fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Human Resources or related field
  • 6-8 years of relevant Human Resources experience
  • Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking and analysis
  • Strong communication skills; English and any additional languages a plus
  • Capable of working independently and structuring their own schedule effectively, managing time and tasks.
  • Thrives in a high-pressure environment and able to manage multiple simultaneous priorities
  • Possesses intellectual curiosity; brings insight into the team & business
