Position:  Senior Account Manager - Client Strategy

Location:  The Irish Times HQ, Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid Working)

Reports To:  Head of Client Solutions

Contract:  Fixed Term, 2 Years

Job Summary:

In our continuous pursuit of innovation and strategic growth, we seek an experienced Senior Account Manager - Client Strategy, to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is central to driving the development and success of our B2B media revenue streams, including Special Reports, Innovation, Inserts, and beyond.

The Senior Account Manager - Client Strategy, will play a key role within our media solutions team, focusing on the strategic expansion of B2B media revenues. Engaging directly with clients and the sales team, this role involves developing bespoke media campaigns, strategic proposals, and packages to drive digital growth and revenue optimisation.

 

Media Solutions - The Team:

Our Media Solutions team is at the forefront of the media industry, dedicated to crafting impactful media solutions that resonate with audiences and deliver unparalleled value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement bespoke media campaigns in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring optimal pricing and yield management.
  • Propel digital growth in relevant categories by working alongside sales teams, introducing new products and services.
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with key clients, identifying forthcoming opportunities and crafting effective packages.
  • Lead in establishing relationships with a new client base, managing pitches, and responding to client briefs.
  • Support the development and growth of The Irish Times Special Reports revenue model.
  • Monitor campaign performance, briefing sales teams on the latest opportunities and updates, and taking a leadership role in team meetings.
  • Use competitive intelligence to devise strategies that improve market share and align with strategic business plans developed in concert with the Head of Client Solutions.
  • Identify market trends to expand the portfolio of Irish Times group Media Solutions offerings.
  • Enhance the capabilities of all sales teams through targeted internal training and presentations relevant to your area of expertise.

Desired Skills / Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in B2B strategy, media campaign development, or a closely related field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the digital media landscape with a proven track record of increasing digital revenues.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively engaging with clients and internal teams.
  • Strategic thinker with expertise in analysing market trends and competitive intelligence.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to build and nurture relationships with both clients and team members.
