Sr. Content Marketing Writer (Cybersecurity)

The Role

As a Sr. Content Marketing Writer at Proofpoint, you will craft compelling and informative content that translates our cybersecurity threat research into insightful eBooks, whitepapers, and reports. Your expertise will be instrumental in engaging our target audience and positioning Proofpoint as a thought leader in cybersecurity.

Your Day to Day

• Research, outline, and produce high-quality eBooks, whitepapers, and reports focused on cybersecurity threats, trends, and solutions.
• Collaborate with the threat research team to interpret complex data into easily digestible content for a less-technical audience.
• Develop content that aligns with Proofpoint’s brand voice and marketing strategy.
• Work closely with marketing and design teams to ensure content is visually appealing and effectively communicates key messages.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and incorporate relevant insights into the content strategy.
• Contribute to the creation of additional marketing assets, including blog posts, case studies, and social media content as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience in content marketing or technical writing, preferably in the cybersecurity industry.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to understand and translate technical information into engaging, audience-appropriate content.
• Strong research skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise narratives.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
