Whether you want a career that could take you to the top or in an exciting new direction—we offer opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further. We are hiring a Sales Associate in our Global Payments and Solutions (GPS) product group, to support our Commercial Banking (CMB) customers. The role of Sales Associate is an exciting role in the newly formed Europe Central Sales team for GPS Europe.. The key focuses of the role are building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, in order to service and facilitate client sales requests with simple GPS solutions. The role will also involve in supporting Senior Sales Managers and Relationship Managers with sales service requests.European language skills are highly appreciated for this role as you will be supporting corporate clients from across Europe.In this role you will: • Be a part of a team supporting a portfolio of new and existing corporate clients who utilize GPS products and solutions • Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Sales Managers across the region • Broaden and deepen client relationships across Europe • Work with key stakeholders including, but not limited to Commercial Banking, Product Development, and Client Management, to ensure a positive client experience • Support Senior Sales Managers with complex-sales opportunities and Request for Proposals (RFPs), which include prepping of sales presentation material to clients • Work with key stakeholders to provide input to the strategic direction of the business, the functionality and launch of new products and services • Pro-actively deliver sales reviews in the format most appropriate to the client • Undertake Customer planning and monitoring/contact as part of the Commercial Banking client planning process • Keep the Management informed of progress / major obstacles towards progress on Sales performance • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements are adhered to • Ensure all requests for operational losses/refunds, travel, out of plan expenditure, hospitality events, etc. are appropriate and correctly authorized • Continually reassess the Sales process through to implementation, and work closely with other stakeholders to identify efficiencies You should apply if you have: • Fluent language proficiency in English, along with another European language; • Experience working directly with clients in delivering a service or solution • Either experience or an interest in learning about Global Payments Solutions; sometimes referred to as payments and cash management /transaction banking • An innate desire to understand clients and applying empathy • A track record and interest in utilizing technology and data to the benefit of a client experience • Proven experience of leading the delivery of excellent customer service, and proactively look for innovative ways to improve the service delivered to customers • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences • Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services • Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural, and regulatory issues • An understanding of or interest in risk management and the intention to ensure own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes • Role relevant qualifications, Certificate of International Cash Management, ACT - desirable but not essential HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
