Our focus is on residents' needs, engaging in activities to foster emotional connections. Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated nurse to join our team in providing care and support to people living with dementia. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine interest and passion for dementia care, along with a strong drive to improve the quality of life for our residents. As a key member of our team, you will demonstrate empathy, patience, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Locations: Tall Trees Memory Unit, Foxrock, Co. Dublin Working hours: Full- Time, 39 Hours per week Contract: Permanent The Staff Nurse duties includes but not limited to: Provide high-quality nursing care to people living with dementia, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans. Delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met with professionalism and empathy. Working collaboratively with fellow healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients. Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, providing emotional support and guidance throughout their dementia journey. Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance the quality of care and promote best practices in dementia management. Serve as an advocate for residents, ensuring their voices are heard and their preferences are respected in all aspects of care delivery. Participate in ongoing education and training initiatives to stay abreast of advancements in dementia care and nursing practice. Contribute to the development and implementation of dementia-friendly initiatives within the organization and the community. Exceptional empathy and communication skills, with the ability to connect with residents and their families on a personal level. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on person-centred care. Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards challenges and opportunities in dementia care. The Staff Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards within the nursing home. The successful candidate will provide holistic, person-centred care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Qualifications: Nursing Qualifications (Essential) Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Essential) Minimum of 2years of experience in nursing, preferably in a dementia care setting. Evidence of further professional development, such as advanced certifications or specialized training in dementia care. What we offer?
