Accountant

What you will be doing:

• Maintaining daily accounting records and general bookkeeping records


• Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded


• Posting of accruals and prepayments for month end closing


• Maintaining asset register and reconciliations


• Inter-company invoices and transactions


• Daily recording and reconciliation of bank transactions


• Updating accounts receivable, issue invoices, and perform reconciliations


• Updating accounts payable and perform reconciliations


• Reviewing and posting expenses, payroll records etc, as assigned


• Updating financial databases to ensure that the information will be accurate and immediately available when needed


• Preparing and submit weekly/monthly reports


• Processing of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines


• Assisting with ad hoc accounting projects


• Participating in Audits and preparing working papers for the external Audit process


• Interaction with internal teams internationally in English

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a bachelor degree in accounting, finance or relevant field. Ideally has qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)


• Has proven experience as an Accountant, at least 3 years’ of experience in Accounting function


• Has a good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices


• Has excellent knowledge of MS Office (modelling experience and Power Query BI knowledge will be highly valued)


• Desirable familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. Dynamics 365)


• Has a good command of Spanish both verbally and written, English advanced level is a plus


• Good experience in Irish Accounts and Irish VAT.


• Previous experience in auditing is valued


• Has excellent organizing abilities


• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

• Has great attention to detail


• Possess the ability to work independently


• Is good with numbers and figures and has an analytical acumen


• Possess a positive attitude and willingness to work in a dynamic environment


• Has experience with general ledger functions and month/year-end close process
