Our client is a property organisation based in Dublin 24. Due to expansion, they are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team.
Job Description: - Ensuring payments and receipts and associated records are correct
- Working with and inputting into to the accounting system, sales and purchase ledgers and journals together with working with Excel spreadsheets
- Controlling credit and issuing chasing notices and statements on unpaid debtors
- Invoice processing and filing
- Processing expense requests for approval
- Performing Bank reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Month end updates and reports
- Preparing monthly management accounts updates and progress against budgets
- Preparing data for statutory accounts
- Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers
- Updating and maintaining procedural documentation
- Monitoring daily communications, telephone answering and handling queries
- Other duties as directed from time to time
Requirements/Qualifications - Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately
- Analytical thinker and problem solver
- Excellent working knowledge of Sage or similar package
- Competent IT skills, particular proficiency with Excel spreadsheets
- High level of accuracy
- Extremely organised in a manner that is easily seen by others
- Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information
- Excellent administrative skills
Qualifications It is not necessary to have a degree in accounting, business or finance. The applicant should be able to demonstrate specialist training on Sage, training with a professional body such as Accounting Technician or FETAC Level 5 or Level 6 Bookkeeping, Administration, Finance.
