Accounts Assistant/Part Qualified Accountant

FRS Recruitment have a excellent opportunity for a Part Qualified Accountant or Accounts Assistant to join our client in Athenry, Co. Galway. This is a full time, permanent position. Our client will offer hybrid working following probation period.

Role Overview:

This role is ideal for a recent graduate (2-4 years out of third-level education) with strong IT and e-commerce skills and ideally from a farming background.

The successful candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, financial administration, and ensuring the synchronization and automation of all key financial activities using our new software, Odoo.com.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including invoicing, credit notes, and supplier/customer balance sheets.
• Ensure accurate synchronization of financial data across all systems.
• Monitor customer credit insurance and manage credit limits.
• Automate and systematize financial processes to achieve 10x efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date stock lists and ensure accurate stock management.
• Support the contracted Senior Financial Controller in financial reporting and compliance.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
• Perform other general financial tasks and light administrative duties as required

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of post-graduate experience in a financial role.
• Strong proficiency in IT and e-commerce systems.
• Experience with Odoo.com or similar financial software is highly desirable.
• Understanding of farming practices and a background in agriculture is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ideally reside within a 30-minute commute from Athenry, Co. Galway.
