Job Description - Assistant Director of Nursing

We are Hiring an Assistant Director Of Nursing for a leading Nursing Home in North Dublin Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

To provide direct resident care and assist the director of nursing in leading the care team clinically and professionally

To uphold and promote resident safety while delivering high-quality care while honoring each person's rights, privacy, and dignity.

Building relationships with people will help to better support their autonomy, informed decision-making, and evidence-based choices.

To promote the understanding that each resident is an individual and to make sure that their needs, rights, and comfort are prioritized when providing care.

To guarantee efficient and patient-centered communication that satisfies their needs.

To guarantee that the communication needs of residents and patients are met, documented in their care plans, and conveyed to personnel.

Requirements

A registered general nurse who is listed on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland's (NMBI) Register of Nurses.

After-registration training on caring for individuals with dementia.

proof of ongoing professional growth.

A post-registration management degree in medicine or a similar discipline.

Gerontology Postgraduate Diploma

Three years or more of postgraduate experience, with at least two of those years spent providing care for the elderly

Minimun two years of management experience in the social and health sector.

Prior typing and Microsoft Office experience.

Experience in Adult Disabled, Psychiatry, and Psychogeriatric Nursing Care.

Thorough understanding of the aging process.
