Job Description - Assistant Director of Nursing -Surgical Services




RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.







We are looking for  Assistant Director of Nursing-Surgical Services to our hospital in Dublin. 







Responsibilities




  • Ensure the maintenance of patient safety at all times.



  • Maintenance of effective throughput of patients within the service.



  • Ensuring that workloads are arranged in a manner that maximises the use of resources.



  • Analysing, monitoring and forecasting trends relevant to the service



  • Direct and active participation in service planning, implementation and evaluation in overall resource management of the service, including continuous quality audit and performance measurements



  •  Ensuring the application of best practice including the generation of action plans to continuously improve the provision of services.






Requirements




  • Registered or qualified to register with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)



  • 7 years of post-registration experience in the last 9 years in an acute hospital setting.



  • A postgraduate degree in perioperative nursing or theater



  • Four years or more of management experience at the CNM2 or CNM3 level throughout the previous seven years



  • completed a management program or made a commitment to pursue an appropriate management qualification after being hired



  • Strong communication and leadership abilities; MSc in Nursing/Management/Leadership



  • Demonstrated proficiency in decision-making, change and innovation, resource management, people management, conflict resolution, problem-solving, organizational understanding, and operational planning
