Summary: Reporting to the Associate Director - Depositary Services, the Assistant Vice President - Depositary Services will be an integral part of the team's success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will require the Assistant Vice President-Depositary Services assist the depositary team to deliver monitoring and oversight depository services to a number of alternative investment fund clients (AIFs) or private funds and will include adherence to certain policies and procedures required under the Alternative Investment Fund Manager Directive (AIFMD), the Cayman Private Funds Act (CPF) or other similar depositary related directives as applicable.

Key duties include

• Responsibility for the day to day operational depositary work for your own portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance of Alternative Investment Funds with regulations, with a focus on delivering the depositary duties ‘cash monitoring’ and ‘oversight’.


• Assisting the Depositary Services Associate Director in the review and delivery of both monthly reports and operational procedures..


• Conducting reviews for the day to day operational depositary work across the team.


• Assisting in the training and coaching of new team members.


• Supporting the team in the take-on/onboarding of new clients.


• Presenting depositary service reports at board meeting as required.


• The building and developing of internal and external stakeholder relationships in an effective and professional manner.


• Ensure all AIFMD processes undertaken are in line with the Company’s policies, procedures, process maps, checklists.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in funds sector


• Previous work experience or understanding of alternative funds is required


• Previous work experience or understanding of depositary/trustee services is preferable


• Understanding of operational controls testing is desirable


• Understanding of AIFMD and related regulatory is desirable

Education:

• University degree (e.g. Business /Accountancy/Finance desirable)
