As a Barclays Associate - CEO Office, you will play a pivotal role in partnering with the business and function heads in Europe to deliver a work product that will meet regulatory expectations. You will be assiting the Barclays Europe CEO with strategic projects and running the business on a day-to-day basis, including coordinating Board and ExCo level governance, preparing content and briefing notes for key internal and external engagements, defining and delivering aspects of key regional strategic and tactical projects.

What will you be doing?
• Assisting the CEO Office projects with designing and delivery of the overall Barclays Europe
• Managing complex relationships, including with European management team and other senior stakeholders and represent the CEO and his strategic agenda
• Playing a key role in project teams, assisting in the design and implementation of strategic solutions across Barclays Europe
• Helping the Barclays Europe CEO in the preparation of briefings, organisation of events, and coordinating key priorities across the entity
• Maintaining effective working relationships in Europe and across the Group to effectively represent the CEO Office
• Ensuring governance processes can stand up against internal and external audits and coordinating CEO Office inputs to other committees and forums
• Overseeing the development of regional business plans and conducting research and analysis to support the design and delivery of long-term strategic pieces of work
• Providing a range of briefing notes for internal and external meetings for the CEO, these can include regulatory, client and other stakeholder meeting


What we’re looking for:
• Exceptional relationship skills and experience of leading and handling and skilled in engaging and influencing others
• Excellent written, analytical and presentation skills - use of PowerPoint and Excel; planning, organization, and co-ordination skills and the ability to deal with highly confidential information
• Excellent social skills, internal and external networking, selling, influencing, and negotiating skills, leading and managing relationships and processes with stakeholders
• Project management capability and judgement to appropriately prioritise activities in order to deliver to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment Skills that will help you in the role:
• Good understanding of our Investment Bank and Private Banking businesses
• Knowledge of European Banking/Financial Services performance drivers, risk concepts, and regulatory developments
• Analytical, with a knowledge of risk management, internal and financial control systems, and a good attention to detail
• Creative mindset with an interest in strategic projects Where will you be working?
