Avature - Analyst, Financial (Store Ops)

GENERAL PURPOSE\: 

Summarize overall purpose of the position.

Reporting to the Manager, Store Finance, the Financial Analyst – Store Finance will help support core FP&A processes for Store Operations. The Financial Analyst will support annual and long-term planning for Store Capital and G&A. In addition, the role will assist with Capital Expenditure Request process for all Store Operations capital projects and will assist with periodic store reporting and other ad hoc requests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Support annual and 5 Year Planning budget processes for all store-related capital spend and Store G&A budgets .

• Analyze overall capital budgets and 5 Year Plans and prepare presentation materials for multiple key planning review meetings with Store Leadership and FP&A.

• Execute capital tracking, forecasting and expenditure control processes, and support month-end and quarter-end reporting processes.

• Prepare monthly capital forecasts summary for monthly meetings with the Store Operations leadership and FP&A teams.

• Execute the Capital Expenditure Request process for all Store Operations capital projects; work with store executives to get project sign-off and review Capital Expenditure Request summaries to ensure readiness for presentation to Accounting leadership team in weekly meeting.

• Execute various ad hoc analyses such as capital actual vs budget variance reporting, and Capital Project ROI performance; understand and effectively communicate the results to key stakeholders.

• Manage Store Operations Computer equipment process by facilitating the execution of equipment requests and placing orders for equipment, and tracking financials including equipment spend relative to capital budget.

• Maintain Capital Weekly Summary file and track capital funding requests; distribute weekly report to Store Operations leadership and respond to follow-up questions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in an analytical field).

• Prefer 1-3 years of relevant work experience, with planning and forecasting experience desirable.

• Expertise with Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.). 

• Strong analytical ability - the candidate should be able to synthesize data, error check, and reconcile work product.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused, professional demeanor.

• Ability to deal effectively with pressure, multiple tasks, deadlines and rapidly changing priorities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. 

Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc. 

Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.  

Vision requirements\: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
