• Central Role in Platform Development: As a member of our core platform engineering team based in Ireland, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing the technical enablers that drive our entire system. Your work will establish the foundational constructs that all engineering teams will adopt, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency. Your Role Will Involve

Join our dynamic team at ExpandNow and make a real impact! We’re looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer to work on Greenfield ecommerce and fulfillment projects. Enjoy a flexible remote/hybrid work model with teams in Ireland, Spain, and Eastern Europe.

You’ll use the latest Microsoft Stack technologies, contribute to Sprint ceremonies, and collaborate with engineers, a Product Owner, and QA to deliver secure, high-quality software.

We value a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You’ll need experience with the Software Development Lifecycle, Test-Driven Development, and proven .Net solutions delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement our IAC & CI/CD pipelines.
• Support automated security and quality gates in our pipelines. We want to foster a DevSecOps mindset.
• Facilitate implementation of a cloud-based platform that is secure, cost efficient, reliable, performant & scalable.
• Monitor Production and lower environment resource usage and suggest/help improve our logging standards and wider Azure Service usage patterns. 
• Work closely with Architecture, Engineering Management and Platform teams to define Roadmap and associated designs.
• Help to define best practices and standards for Application development.
• Identify and help to reduce any Strategic Technical Debt.
• Keep abreast of the latest technological advancements that will help us to continuously improve our platform offering.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years development experience, preferably in .Net. Any Operational experience will also be taken into consideration.
• 2 years experience working in a Dev Ops role leveraging the Microsoft Azure offering.
• Exposure to distributed enterprise systems capable of scaling to serve high volumes of traffic.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM, Bicep, Terraform, etc. & DevSecOps principles. How they can be applied to repeatedly improve quality, security, compliance and ultimately delivery of software to Production.
• Expert in GitHub and Azure DevOps and experience of implementing ci/cd using both Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Azure stack and associated services (included AFD, App Gateway, VPN, WAF, Traffic Manager, DNS, ARM, Monitor, Managed Grafana, CoPilot, Service Fabric, AKS, CDN, Cosmos, Sql Azure, App Insights, Key Vault, API Management, etc.)
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Azure CLI / API’s.
• Intellectual curiosity and learning ability.
• Good communication & documentation skills.
• High attention to detail and willingness to take on complex technical challenges.
• Knowledge/Exposure to Container Technology (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
• Knowledge of Event Driven Architecture, Microservices, Service Bus, Kafka.
• Any experience with Co-Pilot is an advantage.
• Microsoft Azure / .Net certification is an advantage.
