Job Description - Business Development Representative

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) focused on Trusted Data, you’ll be part of a global team driving meaningful conversations with organizations looking to make their data smarter and their systems more future-ready.

You’ll open doors, build relationships, and generate interest in solutions that make AI not just possible — but practical.

This role is based in Cork, Ireland, operating on a hybrid model (3 days per week in the office).

Importantly, this role is also a strong stepping stone into an Inside Sales career, offering clear progression opportunities within Quest.

 









Responsibilities






 

  • Create leads for the UKI & BENELUX Strategic team, supporting some of the largest enterprise customers in the region (e.g. HSBC, Shell, Mars)
  • Generate new business through proactive outreach (cold calling and strategic email campaigns)
  • Build and develop value-based relationships with B2B customers
  • Identify customer needs and position relevant Quest solutions
  • Promote the strategic and tactical value of Quest’s offerings
  • Schedule next steps (typically discovery calls) with Sales / Technical Specialists
  • Seamlessly transition qualified opportunities to the sales team
  • Research, qualify, manage, and track leads and pipeline activity
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Sales Specialists, Sales Engineers)
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

 









Qualifications






 

 
  • Fluent in English
  • 1+ years of outbound B2B sales experience, or a combination of relevant work experience and education
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and think analytically (full training provided)
  • Motivated, proactive mindset with a strong interest in sales and technology

 

 

 

In compliance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive, the compensation for this role will start from €56,000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and performance. If eligible, commission or bonus is governed by a formal corporate plan. Benefit offering is based on a country-by-country basis
