Job Description - Business Development Representative - Munster

Tayto Snacks is home to Ireland’s most iconic snack brands including Tayto, Hunky Dorys and King crisps. We also distribute other household names including Hula Hoops, Popchips and KP Nuts.



We employ approximately 400 people in Ireland and our head office is in Ashbourne, Co. Meath – 40 minutes from Dublin city centre.  Tayto Snacks is proud to be part of the Intersnack Group, Europe’s leading producer of savoury snacks, operating in around 30 European countries.

This role is based in the Munster region, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. The Business Development Representative will be required to achieve route sales targets by calling to designated customers and selling our range of products. They will also be required to identify new areas of opportunity for developing business in-store and follow through and implement development plans.

Reporting line:  Regional Sales Manager (RSM)


Department: Commercial


Location: Munster Region*



*This role will be primarly based in the Munster region, ideally suited to a candidate living in or around Cork city.





This role will suit a self-motivated candidate who enjoys variety and the opportunity to learn and develop in their career.



Role and Responsibilities




  • Achieve agreed measurable KPI’s for sales volumes and personal development.

  • Run weekly meetings with your Market Developer to communicate and manage business performance in the area.

  • Effective interface with other members of the regional sales team to ensure a cohesive approach towards maximising business performance.

  • Develop strong productive partnership with key nominated high-grade customers through a professional needs-based selling approach and structure.

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information on competitor activity and other relevant trade information.

  • Manage and utilise allocated promotional budget in the most cost-effective, creative and impactful manner.

  • Plan and manage required maintenance field time to ensure the most productive and efficient business building inputs in the field.

  • Contribute to the successful development of products in the region through creativity.

  • Articulate with excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Strong commercial awareness of business dynamics

  • Ability to forge strong working relationships with stakeholders

  • Can do attitude with a problem-solving approach.


 


Requirements



  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role. Previous experience in an FMCG organisation (or similar) would be an advantage.

  • As driving is an essential requirement for this role, you must have a full clean driving licence to be eligible to apply.
