Job Description - Business Execution Lead (Global Marketing & Commercial Execution)

A new, essential and prominent leadership position interacting and influencing all levels of our company to ensure successful Companion Animal strategic launches and growth initiatives in the EURAM region, while optimizing investments.

For our Animal Health EURAM region, we are currently recruiting a Business Execution Lead (Global Marketing & Commercial Execution)

Welcome to our team

Our Global Companion Animal Marketing team sets the strategic direction for the Companion Animal Business worldwide and must also ensure alignment with this strategy with all functions within the organization. The unit leads strategy development and execution across markets throughout the world. It drives global marketing strategies and activities to drive successful key company CA launches and maximizes the value of in-line products.

Purpose of the role

Reporting into the Executive Director, Global Customer Marketing & Business Execution, you ensure successful launches of major new innovative products, optimizing promotional efforts and customer engagement to maximize revenue. You are responsible for driving significant business impact and value generation by collaborating with regional leadership to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives. You will lead the alignment of regional management and key stakeholders, oversee regional marketing training and work with digital and local marketing teams to develop comprehensive customer engagement strategies.

Main tasks include, but are not limited to

  • Drive marketing strategy for new products and cross-portfolio initiatives in the assigned region.
  • Develop regional and key market alignment to support priority business drivers.
  • Lead the Regional and Country roadmap process and create Marketing Implementation Plans for revenue maximization.
  • Direct and monitor marketing investments to identify areas for efficiency improvement and return.
  • Oversee and implement Regional Marketing training for regional consistency.
  • Coach BU directors on optimizing promotional expenses.
  • Organize necessary follow-up and task forces with regional and global teams to ensure successful delivery of aligned objectives.
  • Collaborate with Digital enablement and regional/local marketing teams to develop customer journeys and omnichannel strategies.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and align actions with key stakeholders within regional commercial organizations.
  • Provide marketing team leadership for successful product launch implementation globally.
  • Collaborate closely with customer marketing, commercial, digital, and sales enablement to provide impactful launch materials.
  • Understand digital platform performance and drive iterative changes for measurable results.
  • Orchestrate Business steering process to track key launch implementations.
  • Coordinate with supply chain to prioritize material availability for market launches.
  • Contribute to global marketing communications plans, budget planning cycles, and partner with regions, markets, and customers for insights and capability development.

Your profile

  • Academic degree in a relevant field (Business, Marketing, Animal Science or related area).
  • Extensive and broad work experience in marketing (communications, brand, product, channel, operational) and related sales support activities with proven success in creating high-performing positioning, campaigns, and tactical communication initiatives targeting medical professionals and consumers.
  • Demonstrated experience with successful product launches, managing A&P budgets, and monitoring performance metrics such as revenue, pricing, and sales cycles.
  • Good acumen in digital marketing planning and execution, customer engagement, sales engagement, and IT within regulated industries.
  • Strong life science, veterinary medicine, animal science, medical marketing, and business experience is highly preferred, along with familiarity with the Animal Health industry or related fields.
  • A strong personality and the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships in an international, matrix environment. You can work transparently and with a sense of urgency across various countries, cultures and functions.
  • Able to travel up to 40% of your time (predominantly in the EURAM region).
