The Clonmel BID CEO will be responsible for leading, managing and
co-ordinating the delivery of the Clonmel BID Business Plan and ensuring that
the objectives agreed by levy payers and the Board are delivered effectively.
The role will include:
· Leading, managing and co-ordinating the delivery
of the Clonmel BID Business Plan.
· Managing the annual BID budget effectively and
ensuring strong return on investment for levy payers.
· Identifying and maximising additional funding,
sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
· Co-ordinating and managing any staff,
contractors, consultants, service providers or volunteers involved in
delivering BID objectives.
· Providing regular monitoring, evaluation and
reporting of progress against agreed performance indicators to the Clonmel BID
Board.
· Supporting the development and promotion of
Clonmel as a vibrant, attractive and welcoming destination for business,
shopping, tourism, leisure, culture and investment.
· Working to enhance Clonmel’s attractiveness,
safety, accessibility, public realm, evening and night-time economy, visitor
experience and overall commercial appeal.
· Creating a strong collective voice for Clonmel
BID levy payers and developing positive, practical and effective partnerships
across the private, public, community and voluntary sectors.
· Supporting initiatives that drive footfall,
increase dwell time, reduce vacancy, improve the customer experience and
strengthen Clonmel’s position as a key town in the region.
The Clonmel BID CEO will have responsibility for:
· Overall delivery of the Clonmel BID Business Plan
and agreed BID objectives.
· Acting as the first point of contact for BID
members and levy payers.
· Managing the delivery of BID projects, actions,
services, contractors, employees and volunteers.
· Maintaining accurate BID member information and
responding to queries and concerns from levy payers.
· Preparing regular reports for the Board and
ensuring the Board is kept fully informed of BID activities, progress, risks
and opportunities.
· Supporting the organisation of Board meetings,
ensuring meetings are held regularly, formally recorded and followed up with
clear actions.
· Managing income and expenditure budgets,
procurement, contracts, legal obligations, financial controls, health and
safety processes and project governance.
· Working with the Board, businesses and partners
to develop and implement marketing campaigns that increase footfall, retail
activity, hospitality spend, visitor numbers and town centre engagement.
· Working with tourism, arts, culture, community,
sporting and business organisations to strengthen Clonmel’s programme of
events, festivals and town-centre activity.
· Supporting initiatives that position Clonmel as a
strong location for retail, hospitality, professional services, office-based
employment, enterprise and investment.
· Ensuring effective consultation and communication
with BID members, partners and stakeholders through face-to-face engagement,
regular updates, newsletters, email bulletins, surveys, website updates and
social media.
· Developing and maintaining the Clonmel BID
website as a useful and active resource for levy payers, businesses, residents,
visitors and investors.
· Overseeing and providing content for Clonmel BID
social media channels.
· Establishing and maintaining strong working
relationships with Tipperary County Council, An Garda SÃochána, elected
representatives, state agencies, business groups, Chamber, community organisations and other relevant
stakeholders.
· Working with the Board and partners to address
key town-centre issues including vacancy, safety, cleanliness, public realm,
accessibility, parking, footfall, events, promotion and business confidence.
· Helping to collate and monitor key performance
indicators, including footfall, vacancy rates, business sentiment, levy payer
engagement, event impact, visitor activity, retail performance and customer
surveys.
· Representing Clonmel BID at meetings, events,
consultations and stakeholder forums.
· Taking a hands-on approach to the delivery of
projects and visible town-centre improvements.
