The role of the Business Services Support plays a central role in supporting and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality services to Sedgwick Ireland’s Head Office. This position is well-suited to someone who is proactive, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and committed to consistently delivering a high standard of service. A professional and courteous manner is essential. As part of the Business Services Team, the role involves close collaboration with departmental colleagues, key managers, and subject matter experts both within and outside Sedgwick Ireland. This role is people-facing and hands-on, with a strong service mindset and high attention to detail.
Specific responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Facilities & Business Services Support
Building & Utilities Maintenance: Assist in managing building maintenance requirements and coordinating reactive maintenance work.
Office Moves & Reconfigurations: Support the planning, coordination, and execution of office moves and workspace changes.
Floor Plans: Maintain and update office floor plans as .
Cleaning Services: Ensure cleaning standards are upheld and liaise with cleaning providers on any arising issues.
Catering: Provide day-to-day support in managing catering services.
Mail: Support mailroom, courier, deliveries, and porterage duties; maintain storerooms and asset inventories.
Ad Hoc Tasks: Respond in a flexible and proactive manner to reasonable ad hoc duties as needed.
Reception & Front of House
Oversee the reception function.
Welcome and direct visitors, notify relevant staff of arrivals, and maintain security protocols, including issuing visitor badges.
Coordinate taxi and courier bookings.
Health & Safety / Security
Support the oversight of health and safety processes and ensure appropriate access and security procedures are followed.
Vendor & Supplies Management
Manage supplier relationships, including merchandise and office supply vendors.
Travel & Communications
Arrange travel and accommodation bookings.
Manage internal phone systems and mobile phone allocations.
Other Duties
Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Business Services.
Qualifications/skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Solid numerical ability.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of basic H&S practices and building operations in an office environment.
Desirable: Manual Handling certificate, PHECC First Aid Responder, Fire Warden/Marshal training.
Personal attributes
Knowledge of Sedgwick Ireland’s operations (advantageous but not essential).
Willingness to work flexible hours when .
Ability to work independently while demonstrating initiative.
