Job Description - Cath Lab Radiographer

We are currently recruiting a Cath Lab Radiographer for a Hospital in Cork, Ireland.

Full-time/ Permanent position

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures within the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory (Cath Lab).

Assist cardiologists and the multidisciplinary team during cardiac and vascular procedures.

Prepare and operate specialised Cath Lab imaging equipment safely and efficiently.

Ensure radiation safety standards are maintained for patients, staff, and visitors.

Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, reporting any concerns promptly.

Maintain accurate imaging records, patient documentation, and procedural data.

Support infection prevention and control practices within the Cath Lab environment.

Participate in equipment quality assurance, maintenance checks, and service improvement initiatives.

Provide guidance and support to junior radiographers and other team members when required.

Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, physiologists, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery.

Requirements

Bachelor of Radiography Degree or equivalent qualification.

Current CORU registration is essential.

Relevant experience working as a Cath Lab Radiographer.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexible and adaptable approach to work within a dynamic clinical environment.

Strong commitment to quality, patient safety, and best clinical practice.

Ability to prioritise and deliver a high standard of patient care at all times.

High level of clinical and technical competency in Cath Lab procedures and imaging equipment.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
