Civils Supervisor

Main Purpose of Role:

Due to continued growth within the company, Murphy Ireland is seeking an experienced and motivated Civils Supervisor to support the delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will lead site operatives and subcontractors, actively participate in daily site activities, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Role Duties:

· Lead by example and promote the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance on site.

· Supervise and coordinate site operatives, plant operators and subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.

· Actively participate in site activities while overseeing daily operations and workforce productivity.

· Ensure work is carried out in accordance with project drawings, specifications, permits and safe systems of work.

· Coordinate labour, plant, materials to achieve programme requirements.

· Liaise with Site Management, Engineers, Safety Advisors and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and site coordination.

· Monitor work quality and ensure all works are completed to Murphy standards and client requirements.

· Ensure all statutory inspections, permits and pre-start checks are completed and recorded.

· Identify and resolve day-to-day site issues, escalating concerns where necessary.

· Support the development and mentoring of operatives and apprentices.

· Participate in and promote Murphy's Development Culture and commitment to Zero Harm.

· Attend site meetings as required and provide updates on progress, resources and site activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

· 10+ years' experience in the construction or civil engineering industry.

· Previous experience as a Civils Supervisor, Foreperson or Senior crew lead.

· Strong knowledge of construction methods, health and safety requirements and site operations.

· Ability to manage and motivate site teams to achieve project objectives.

· Strong communication and organisational skills.

· Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.

· Full Clean Driving Licence.

· Relevant plant CSCS training or additional training/certifications are desirable.
