Provide support to the Person in Charge / Unit Manager in the clinical and professional leadership of the care team, while also delivering high\-quality direct resident care.
Ensure the consistent delivery of a high standard of care to residents and their families, aligned with the organisationâs mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives.
Promote recognition of each resident as an individual, ensuring that residentsâ rights, needs, comfort, and wellbeing remain central to all aspects of care delivery.
Build and maintain therapeutic relationships with residents to support autonomy, informed choice, and evidence\-based decision\-making.
Promote and maintain resident safety by delivering quality care that respects residentsâ privacy, dignity, and rights at all times.
Support and maximise residentsâ capacity to exercise personal autonomy, independence, and choice.
Assist residents in maintaining their sense of identity and actively involve them in decision\-making whenever possible.
Ensure the service operates in a manner that respects diversity, equality, and inclusion, including age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, family status, civil status, race, religious beliefs, and cultural and ethnic background.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan, assess, and deliver person\-centred care that maximises residentsâ autonomy, choice, and quality of life.
Be a Registered General Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse on the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), or be eligible for registration.
Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
Minimum of two yearsâ post\-graduate nursing experience, with experience working at Senior Staff Nurse or Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) level.
Strong IT and documentation skills.
Excellent understanding of the ageing process and person\-centred care principles.
Postgraduate Diploma in Gerontology.
Management qualification or completion of a management course (desirable).
Previous management or leadership experience.
Experience in gerontology, psycho\-geriatric nursing, psychiatry, or care of adults with disabilities
