Avista provides Residential and Day Services to people with an Intellectual Disability.

We are looking for candidates who are committed to supporting people with dementia, to work within our Award-Winning Specialist Dementia Homes. The successful candidate will work alongside a team that encompasses highly skilled and experienced nurses and health care assistants in Dementia & End of Life Care.The successful candidate will be supported by a specialist multidisciplinary team which includes an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialists in Dementia in Avista’s National Memory Clinic.Avista works in partnership with Trinity Centre for Ageing and Intellectual Disability and Tallaght University Hospital in the National Intellectual Disability Memory Service.

Clinical Nurse Manager 2

Dublin Service (CLONSILLA) Specialist Dementia Residential Home 

Permanent Contract (37.5HPW)

 Salary: € 57,198 -€ 67,621 * (*LSI )

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work

Essential:

•Up to date NMBI Registration – RNID Desirable 

•Recognised Management Qualification FETAC/QQI Level 6 or equivalent or commitment to undertake is essential 

•Knowledge and experience in Dementia and/or End of Life Care desirable.

•Full clean driving licence.

•Have 3 years nursing experience within the area of Intellectual Disability.

•Excellent IT, leadership, interpersonal, communication skills and & the ability to work with a large number of staff.

•Ability to work effectively with families and the Multi-Disciplinary Team.

•Commitment to engage actively in a community inclusive model, always promoting independence and inclusion

•Have excellent organisational, motivational, interpersonal and communication skills.

•Be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work on own initiative, have the capacity to manage change and passionately support people to live well with dementia.

•Display evidence of continual professional development

•Applicants should possess Level 2 behavioural competencies as set out in the job description
