We are currently hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager 2- Cath Lab for a hospital in Galway, Ireland.
This is a permanent, full-time position, 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities
Coordinate, assess, plan, implement and review patient care in line with established clinical standards
Take clinical responsibility for the assigned area on a daily basis in conjunction with CNM colleagues
Provide professional and clinical leadership to nursing staff within the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and Non-Invasive Cardiology Evaluation Department
Support the CNM III in the effective management and smooth running of the assigned area
Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of nursing standards, protocols and clinical guidelines
Promote effective teamwork, communication and collaboration with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with health and safety, radiation safety, infection control, controlled drug and other relevant hospital policies
Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors and promptly address any concerns affecting patient care or wellbeing
Supervise, support and facilitate the ongoing education, professional development and performance management of nursing staff
Maintain current professional knowledge through continuing professional development, nursing research, relevant training and study days
Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
Postgraduate qualification in Cardiology is essential, with a management qualification desirable
Minimum of 5 years’ Cath Lab experience or completion of a relevant specialist course
Proven clinical, leadership, managerial and customer care skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate information clearly and effectively
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and professional development skills
Demonstrated ability to motivate, supervise and support nursing staff
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team with flexibility in work practices
Strong organisational, planning, time management, delegation and multitasking skills
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and patient-centred care
