Clinical Nurse Manager 2 - Endoscopy

We are currently hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 – Endoscopy for a hospital in Galway, Ireland.

This is a permanent, full\-time position.

 Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and management to the Endoscopy Unit, ensuring the delivery of high\-quality, evidence\-based patient care.
  




• Oversee the daily operations of the unit, managing staff allocation, patient flow, and resources effectively.
  




• Support and supervise nursing staff, promoting professional development and continuous learning.
  




• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and national standards.
  




• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain safe and efficient patient services.
  




• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to enhance service delivery.
  




• Manage infection prevention and control practices within the Endoscopy Unit.
  




• Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
  




• Provide support in the planning and coordination of endoscopy procedures and patient care pathways.
  




• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality at all times.
  

Requirements

• Be registered or eligible for registration in the General Division of the NMBI Nurse Register.
  




• Hold a BSc in Nursing (preferred); a management qualification is also desirable.
  




• Have a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including 3–4 years in endoscopy nursing or a related specialty.
  




• Demonstrate strong clinical, leadership, managerial, and customer care skills.
  




• Exhibit a proactive approach to planning and effective coordination of resources.
  




• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  




• Have the ability to motivate and support staff.
  




• Show flexibility in work practices and adaptability to service needs.
